Clondalkin Sinn Féin Slam Conditions for Customer at Allied Irish Banks, Clondalkin

Published: 30 November, 2007

Clondalkin Sinn Féin Councillor has slammed the treatment of customers in the Allied Irish Bank in Clondalkin:

Speaking today: Councillor Shane O'Connor said that he is receiving complaints from his constituents that there is an ongoing problem with the type of service at the Tower Road Branch. People are left queuing for over an hour at the branch including the elderly and young mothers with children. This Friday morning he received a complaint that they had only two tellers on duty and people are becoming dissatisfied.

"Unfortunately with the Bank Of Ireland out of the Village area local people's options are becoming limited and it is quite clear AIB cannot cope I would appeal to the Bank to show some sort of community support and employ more people. Allied Irish Banks made 1 billion euro in profits last year and yet they cannot supply more staff at this branch to facilitate their customers."
