Sinn Féin's local election candidate for the Glencullen/Sandyford Ward has slammed plans by Dublin Bus to cut buses from the 44B and 44C routes to Glencullen and Ballyogan. Mr. Tracey was speaking after SIPTU confirmed to Sinn Féin that the 44B and 44C routes are to lose four buses. He said he fears that the decision could mean that these routes are to be discontinued altogether. Read full article

Glencullen/Sandyford Sinn Féin representative Shaun Tracey has called for the voting age to be reduced to 16 in support of a campaign by the National Youth Council of Ireland (NYCI). Speaking at a media event organised by the NYCI at Leinster House today Mr. Tracey said young people need to be given a role in defining the type of society they will live in and contribute to into the future. Sinn Féin's local election candidate for the Glencullen/Sandyford ward Shaun Tracey has said the 44B bus route to Glencullen must be protected from cutbacks as part of Dublin Bus' plans to cut 120 buses from its fleet with the loss of 290 workers. Mr. Tracey was speaking today amid speculation that the 44B is to be discontinued while the 44 route to Enniskerry is to be slashed by 50%. Read full article

Tallaght Sinn Féin Councillor Seán Crowe has described the shooting in Tallaght last night, in which one man was killed and two others injured, as an "appalling attack, which has left the local community stunned." He encouraged anybody with information to bring it to the attention of the Gardaí and said the perpetrators "needed to be brought to justice quickly." Read full article
