Sinn Féin has selected Cllr. Daithí Doolan to contest the forthcoming General Election for the party in Dublin South East. Following a unanimous vote at tonight's electoral convention, Doolan is set to make history by being the first republican to take a seat in Dublin South East since Countess Markievicz in 1918.
